Tamshiyacu Tahuayo Regional Conservation Area

You may also spot colorful poison dart frogs (Ranitomeya uakarii and Ranitomeya flavovitatta) and massive anacondas (Eunectes murinus) in their natural habitat. The ACRCTT area is home to an incredible array of wildlife. Other fascinating creatures found here include the pink dolphin (Inia geoffrensis), grey dolphin (Sotalia fluviatilis), brown-throated sloth (Bradypus variegatus), capybara (Hydrochoerus hydrochaeris), spectacled caiman (Caiman crocodilus), black caiman (Melanosuchus niger), South American tapir (Tapirus terrestris), giant river otter (Pteronura brasiliensis), giant anteater (Myrmecophaga tridactyla), giant armadillo (Priodontes maximus), jaguar (Panthera onca), Amazonian manatee (Trichechus inunguis), wattled curassow (Crax globulosa), hoatzin (Opisthocomus hoazin), and harpy eagle (Harpia harpyja), among others.
